Eleanor’s work is concerned with the psychology of interiors and the personal spaces we inhabit. There is something unsettling about these rooms; staged, unreal or heavy with absence. Weight is given to the role of the collection of objects and souvenirs in the middle class household, like props in a theatre set. Clues as to whose story is being told are everywhere but in reality these are distorted; they merely tell us how the protagonist wishes to be perceived.
